APA PARAFRICTA® LTD CORPORATE INFORMATION

APA Parafricta® Ltd was formed in July 2004, funded by the Directors and other private investors together with the Oxford Trust and NESTA.

The company owns the Parafricta® brand and all patents and know-how relating to the technology of Parafricta®. This includes the Pf Fragile Skin Protection System™ that can be used to prevent bed sores (pressure sores) and other skin problems caused by friction.

Founder & Technical Director - Tony Pike

Tony's expertise lies in identifying the right solution to a problem or if one is not available, inventing it.

It was in 1996, while driving through Tulse Hill in south London, that Tony came across the road accident that started him thinking about the benefits of a flexible stretcher, a chain of thought that eventually led to the Parafricta® technologies.

Chairman - Maureen Coleman

Maureen has 20+ years experience of pharmaceutical product development and strategic planning at Glaxo SmithKline.  She was CEO of NovaThera and has consulted to technology transfer groups at Imperial College, Kings College, and Brunel University. She is a Board member of MedInnovate and Zyoxel.

Vice-Chairman - Professor Mike Clark

Mike has current experience in the development of wound care products, combined with a background in the materials, electronics and consumer industries. He also works with a number of SME companies as an entrepreneur and business angel.

CEO - George Sampson

With over 25 years in the Medical Products segment of the Healthcare market, George has invaluable experience in marketing and managing regulatory and reimbursement activities. He carries Board level responsibilities for all global marketing, commercial activities and partnership relationships.

Non-Executive Director - Peter Henry.

Peter is a marketing and branding expert in medical and healthcare businesses. Formerly with Thor International, market leader in photomedicine, he has proven experience in building company value in order to bring a business to sale.
